Discover Peru’s past in this 8-day journey, learn about the Inca’s history while also having an eye on the present of the country. Start your journey in Lima, visiting the most famous sites like Santo Domingo convent and the Larco Museum, where you will learn about Peru’s ancient cultures and their history. Experience the ancient and the modern side of the country in Cusco, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city from Plaza San Cristóbal or see the huge and impressive fortress-temple of Sacsayhuaman. Next, move on to the region of Sacred Valley where you will visit the town of Chinchero to appreciate the archaeological complex and its beautiful colonial church. Then, see where the Incas used to experiment with crops by creating diverse microclimates on colossal concentric terraces in the town of Moray. Leave the Sacred Valley behind and board the train to the starting point of your Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Trek and climb through mountains totally covered by vegetation until you arrive at the famous site of Machu Picchu. After your Inca trail, descend to Aguas Calientes where you will spend some time before going back to Cusco, where your tour ends.
