Business Development Manager

We are looking for sales driven professionals with an impressive track record of meeting their targets and winning new accounts. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development of new sales channels and to enhance existing channels to build Indus branded business. Prior travel trade experience is a big plus but not mandatory.

The Business Development Manager will work in conjunction with the Managing Director & Director Sales Director of Indus Travels, Canada to establish and deliver a product that meets client needs and expectations. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the assessment and establishment of sales channels, which may include Travel Agents, Group Leaders, Affinity groups, Meeting and Incentive Houses, Online Partners and direct clients.

His / Her responsibility includes all administrative duties including reporting to the Management team on a frequent basis, business development and partner/ channel management, presentations to groups as well as dealing with customer service issues relating to handling issues on bookings from both distributors and end customers (passengers).

Company will provide all the means to achieve/overachieve the targets including company laptop, mobile phone, travel allowance, etc. You can be home based as well!

Job Requirement

  • At least 5 Years of management experience in Sales and Marketing
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Established networks within the Travel Industry including Affinity Groups, Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Meeting and Incentive houses, Online Partners
  • Sound knowledge of the global travel market a big plus
  • At least 5 years dealing with Canadian outbound travel passengers essential
  • Experience in negotiating business agreements and contracts
  • Product development experience of travel-related products advantageous
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products and internet
  • Account management skills
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (Zoho or SalesForce)

Faith Based Tours Sales Manager

Indus Travels is looking for a person that has connections within the Christian, pastoral and church communities. The main function of the position would be to communicate what Indus offers to church leaders and set up seminars/lunches for a brief presentation about Holy Land Tours & how Indus Travels can help in Church fundraisers.

This is a sales position. Allowing you to use your calling in a totally different way.

The end goals are:

  • To explain how easy it is to set up a trip for your church/community
  • The hope is: when the Church leaders understand how easy it is to set up a trip they will sign up to offer a trip for their church
  • Raise funds for Church/Ministry
  • Thus allowing the church to spread the love of Jesus in a greater way through its ministry influence.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Indus Travels is full service tour operator offering trips to more than 50 countries worldwide. We not only offer Holy Land trips but help Churches/Ministries in every step from producing promotional material to presentations and all back office and customer service. The position will be two fold:

  • To communicate with and set up the seminars / lunches
  • To follow up with the seminar attendees to see what questions they have and to sign them up for Holy Land tours.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create proposals for prospective clients
  • Input updates in the in-house CRM system
  • Follow up with prospects and clients to address questions and concerns
  • Minimal travel to attend events is possible
  • Occasional travel for Indus staff meetings / events.

Experience:

  • Sales Presentations: 2-3 year (Required)
