Tour Consultant

The Tour Consultant’s primary job is to help the Company meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by converting email and phone leads to bookings. The position will be responsible for ensuring that all leads are responded to in a timely manner and that the conversion rate/targets set by the Inside Sales Manager are achieved.

City: Richmond Central

Work Experience: 1-3 years

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Inside Sales Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Tour Consultant include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Help clients select the right tour based on their needs and specific requirements;
  • Answer clients' questions about prices, availability, and tours;
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully converting leads on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis;
  • Respond to all phone and email leads on a daily basis whether with a quote or an email advising that it is being worked on;
  • Review all open leads on a weekly basis and diligently perform follow ups;
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting client relationships by responding in a timely manner to the clients’ questions and understanding their needs;
  • Contribute to the Sales team targets accomplishing organizational goals;
  • Create FIT quotes for clients, working with suppliers to put together a detailed itinerary, negotiating the price with the supplier and pricing the tour accordingly;
  • Create Group quotes for clients, working with local operators to create a detailed itinerary, negotiating the price with the supplier and pricing the tour accordingly;
  • Maintain awareness of new products and promotions;
  • Follow set procedures and systems for Phone, Email communication with clients, suppliers and other staff at Indus Travels;
  • Ensure all data is entered as per standards in CRM and all leads are followed up in a timely manner;
  • Ensure that files are profitable and when not, discuss with the Inside Sales Manager to determine what can be done to improve the profit margin;
  • Make sure that a FIT or Group quote is competitive and do what is needed to convert the booking;
  • Review all client feedback and act on it, involving the Inside Sales Manager where necessary;
  • Support and mentor your Sales support person to ensure clients are getting all information required to travel; and
  • Co-ordinate with operations and flights department for both Group & FIT bookings.
Customer Service Representative

A customer service representative, or CSR, will act as a liaison, provide tours information and resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency.

A Customer service representative should also be able to help in acquisition and revenue growth targets by converting email and phone leads to bookings. The position will be responsible for ensuring that all leads are responded to in a timely manner and that the conversion rate/targets set by the Inside Sales Manager are achieved.  

City: Richmond

Work Experience: 1-3 years

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Customer service representative, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage incoming calls
  • Provide front-line customer support to travelers through phone, chat, and email
  • Process customer payments and book tours over the phone with accuracy
  • Address customer concerns with empathy and tact
  • Identify and assess clients needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Help clients select the right tour based on their needs and specific requirements;
  • Answer clients' questions about prices, availability, and tours;

AR /AP Clerk

The AR/AP clerk responsibilities will include bank reconciliations, reconciling supplier invoices & statements. Also as part of the Accountant duties, you will be assisting with Accounts Payable when needed. Reporting to the Senior Accountant/controller, the successful candidate must have previous experience in accounts receivable / payable preferably in the travel industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Senior Accountant/Controller, the duties and responsibilities of the AR/AP clerk include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Prepare and review invoices and other accounting documents;
  • Maintain general accounting files and spreadsheets;
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and document business transactions;
  • Ensure timely payment of liabilities and other financial obligations
  • Posting and reviewing invoice information in QuickBooks
  • Routing invoices for correct approvals to pay
  • Providing timely support in resolving issues with supplier invoicing and payments
  • Prepare and post journal entries as required
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Responsible for various bank transactions and account reconciliations
  • Reporting issues and discrepancies when appropriate

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 1 to 2  years of related accounting experience;
  • Knowledge of accounting, calculations, and terminology;
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Proficient in using MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Proficient in using Quickbooks
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills;
  • Self-directed and self-motivated;
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Superior attention to detail and planning skills.
  • Any past experience in a travel company a big plus

Group Tours Consultant

Operations Coordinator

We are seeking highly-motivated and customer-oriented individuals for our Richmond, BC office.

The Operations Coordinator will work within the Tour Operations Department and will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and executing all tour-related administration and operational duties in line with the company’s policies and procedures. The coordinator will handle a wide range of tour-related administrative tasks and work independently with little supervision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: 

Key Duties:

  • Coordinate with the flight department for flights
  • Liaise with DMC’s to coordinate inventory, accommodation and ground services
  • Coordinate reservations, contracts, and record keeping for tour series and reservations
  • Accurately make bookings and monitor group departures within the set timelines
  • Monitor with high attention to detail all reservations, documentation and follow through to completion of the Group departure
  • Diligently work on all deadlines with suppliers regarding room inventory to avoid penalties
  • Execute on a decision to run the tour with optimistic profit margins
  • Prepare final documents including descriptive itineraries, flight schedules, optional excursions
  • Collate passengers travel documents within the set time-line
  • Work closely with the Sales team to ensure tours operate smoothly and meet the expectations of customers
  • Check for inconsistencies in the invoicing from Suppliers based on the contracts
  • Deal efficiently with day-to-day operational problems.
