Emily Johnson
Best of Thailand Canada Special
As a 45-year-old traveler who did Indus Travels’ “Best of Thailand” with my sister, this felt like the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and sister time without either of us having to play travel planner. The itinerary moves in a really satisfying arc: starting in Bangkok with temples, markets, and incredible street food, then heading north through Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai for the White Temple, Golden Triangle, and more traditional, slower-paced experiences, before ending with beach time in Phuket where we could finally exhale, swim, and laugh late into the night. What I appreciated most about Indus was how they quietly made a fairly complex 14-day trip feel easy—domestic flights, transfers, guides, and key excursions were handled, hotels were comfortable and well located, and there was enough free time built in that my sister and I could add a cooking class here, a massage there, or just sit with a drink and people-watch. By the end, it felt less like we’d rushed through a checklist and more like we’d actually “lived” in each place for a bit, reconnecting with each other while discovering Thailand’s temples, rivers, food, and islands, with Indus Travels keeping everything running smoothly in the background.
