Japan Tours

Japan is a fascinating mix of old and new. You can find ancient temples and traditional culture living side by side with lightning-fast bullet trains and incredible technology. Travelers revel over the beautiful scenery, fascinating shrines, and relaxing hot springs.

Ancient culture, beautiful landscapes, and incredible hospitality. These are just a few reasons to make Japan your next vacation destination!

An elongated archipelago having thousands of volcanic islands, Japan is one of the top destinations to travel around the world. Its iconic blend of Western modernity and Eastern traditions is seen in every corner. You may call it a land of contrasts since centuries-old temples and customs exist in comparison to the 21st century's technological advancements. Known for the magnificent views of Mount Fiji, beautiful cherry blossoms, striking cities, and tranquil countryside, it offers its visitors a wide variety of attractions. The most popular tourist destination in Japan is the capital city, famous for being the city that never sleeps. Soaring skyscrapers, luxe fashion boutiques, high-end dining options, and vibrant nightlife make Tokyo every traveler's favorite. The city is a true example of the perfect blend of the past and the future, and you can witness this with a visit to Zojoji Temple, standing strong next to the Tokyo Tower. Despite being a modern city, Tokyo has managed to preserve Japanese culture and history. A walk around the historic districts of Ueno and Asakusa, comprising ancient shrines and temples, takes you for a spin at the past. Visit the Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, and make sure you have a day in hand because exploring the sheer size of the temple's precincts would take that. Visit the elegant Imperial Palace and its blooming gardens if you wish to learn more about the history. The palace was constructed on the former grounds of Edo Castle, which is surrounded by large stone walls. You must check the Nijubashi Bridge, which means the double bridge, which is a photographer's delight. It is one of the most photographed places in Japan. Lastly, don't forget to see the Otemon Gate, an original structure of the complex and a great example of 17th-century Japanese architecture. Apart from Tokyo, Kyoto is another popular city that you must explore in Japan. Home to around 2,000 temples, visitors can experience Japan's heritage and culture here. You can take part in activities like kimono wearing, tea ceremonies, and even try your hands on calligraphy. Discover Tenryuji, an important Zen temple wherein you can see Unryuzu, Darumazu, and Hattou. Another significant Zen temple you should visit is the Kinkakuji Temple, one of the largest and most iconic sites of Kyoto. Translated to be the Temple of the Golden Pavilion, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Another city that is worth exploring is Osaka, a favorite for visitors who love food and wish to experience the nightlife. Kyoto Imperial Palace, Nishiki Market, Nijo Castle, Kyoto National Museum, and more are a few must-visit places in Kyoto. Nagasaki can never be forgotten in the list of most prominent cities in Japan. A site for atomic bombing during World War II, it is also known for beautiful coastlines, hot spring spas, volcanoes, and historic buildings. With these bustling cities, Japan also has an abundance of natural beauty. Japan has 3 great gardens, Korakuen in Okayama, Kairuken in Mito, and Kenrokuen in Kanazawa. The gardens feature splendid natural beauty and have their own unique history. The next place where you treat your eyes to beautiful landscapes is Kawaguchiko, a resort town on the banks of Kawaguchiko Lake with stunning views of Mt. Fuji. Travelers flock in numbers to soak in the gorgeous views. A day trip from Tokyo takes you to the second biggest of the Five Fuji Lakes, Kawaguchiko. This place is no less than heaven! Be it the cherry blossom season, the fall leaves, or the flower festivals at glory, this little town will ensure you leave a piece of your heart here as you leave. A great way to immerse yourself in Japan's culture is to dig into its cuisine. Sushi, the world-famous dish and a favorite of many, ramen and tempura are a few delicacies you must try. Taking part in traditional festivals like the Gion Festival of Kyoto during the summers, and the Cherry Blossom Festival, which takes place during the Spring season, is a great way to learn more about the Japanese lifestyle that too in a fun way. If you are into adventures, the country won't disappoint you! Skiing, hiking, water sports, you name it, and Japan has it. And reaching one destination to another in Japan is super easy! The famous bullet trains, subways, and buses connect major towns and cities. Taking the Japan Rail Pass is a cost-effective way to use well-equipped transportation. Traveling here ensures you an incredible experience. Be it the tranquil gardens, the historic shrines, the dreamy views, or the colorful culture, Japan onboards you for a lifetime of experience.

The Japan explorer tour was booked with Indus but operated by Europamundo travel company out of Spain and the tour was in both English and Spanish. The tour also saw a mix of people joining and leaving during the tour. The Itinerary was great and the hotels were good. The Monastery stay was really interesting. The only reason I rated this tour 4 stars instead of 5 is that with the mix of English and Spanish and our guide from Spain with a Spanish accent, it was sometimes hard to understand some of his commentaries.
