Unforgettable UAE and Oman
As a 43-year-old Canadian woman, organizing a trip that satisfies both my husband’s appetite for adventure and my aging parents’ need for comfort was no small feat—but the "Unforgettable UAE and Oman" tour hit the mark perfectly. We wanted a journey that showcased the "glitter" of Dubai alongside the raw, authentic beauty of Oman, and this itinerary delivered just that. From the high-tech marvels of the Louvre Abu Dhabi to the grounding experience of the Wahiba Sands in a 4x4, the trip felt like two vacations in one. My parents particularly loved the Musandam dhow cruise in Oman; it was incredibly peaceful to watch the dolphins and rugged fjords from the comfort of a traditional boat, providing a much-needed slow-down after the high energy of Dubai’s skyscrapers and souks. The "Superior" accommodations were excellent across the board—clean, luxurious, and centrally located—which made the logistics of traveling as a multi-generational family feel surprisingly effortless. The booking process with Indus Travels was impressively streamlined, which was a huge relief given I was managing four separate sets of documents. Living in Canada, I appreciated that their headquarters are in Richmond, BC; it made communication easy, and I didn't have to worry about time zone lags when I had questions about the Omani border crossing or the e-visa requirements. Their customer support team was professional and proactive, even following up a week before we left to ensure we had our "meet-and-greet" details for the Dubai airport. Once on the ground, the support continued through our local guides, who were masters at navigating the "cultural bridge" for us—explaining everything from the architecture of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to the history of the Falaj irrigation systems in Oman. Knowing that Indus had a 24/7 support line gave me the peace of mind to actually enjoy my vacation instead of acting as the group’s unpaid travel agent. It was a seamless, five-star experience that I wouldn’t hesitate to book again for our next family milestone.
