Intermediate Tours require a moderate level of activity. On certain days passengers may encounter long travel days, while other days they will be standing or walking for extended periods of time (sometimes over difficult terrains) during sightseeing excursions.
Prepare for a scenic road trip filled with fascinating sites and jaw-dropping landscapes in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic as you head on a 10-day self-drive tour through Central Europe! Your fly and drive will begin in Munich, the capital city of the State of Bavaria, one of the most beautiful regions in Germany. This is where the famous Oktoberfest Festival takes place every year! From there you will travel to Salzburg, a gorgeous city situated on the border of Germany and Austria, and the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the most famous composers in the world. Explore the Gardens of Mirabell or take a peek at the Cathedral before you cross the border into Austria and travel to Melk, situated by the Danube River. Your next stop will be in Vienna, the breathtaking Austrian capital, known for its powerful palaces and evergreen gardens. Choose to visit the Hofburg Palace or see the Heroes' Gate before you drive to Budapest in Hungary, known for its outstanding 123 thermal baths. Find out how Buda and Pest were divided in two and take in the spectacular views from Gellert Hill or visit the Heroes’ Square. Next, you will visit the City Center of Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia, and the perfect place to learn about the country's history, culture, and cuisine. Head into the heart of the Czech Republic as you travel to Prague, a magnificent medieval city where you can see the Charles Bridge and visit the Prague Castle. Finally, you will make your way back to Munich before your self-drive tour through Central Europe comes to an end!
Independent / Self Drive Tour
At the time of car rental, the driver must present a valid national driver’s licence that has been held for at least 1 year. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is highly recommended for non-European Union renters. Further a photo ID (passport etc.) along with a valid credit card are required.
Personal expenses, gasoline, parking and tow fees, speeding fines, winter tyres, GPS, map etc. are not included
Please note that it is possible that a guarantee must be paid by the driver at the car rental station if they drive out of Germany- this must be paid locally
Prices for this tour are per person, based on a twin / double room sharing basis.
A single supplement is available starting at $799 per person.
