Overnight Onboard the Flight
Welcome to Croatia! Upon arrival at Zagreb International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. After check-in, you will have some time to relax at the hotel. After lunch, you will meet your local guide for a sightseeing tour around the city. You will get the opportunity to see Zagreb’s two hills, the upper town, and the new neighborhoods in the Croatian capital. You will be provided with dinner at the end of the day.
Overnight in Zagreb
We will depart early in the morning for Bosnia, where border formalities may take some time. As we travel through certain areas, reminders of the tragic war of the 1990s will be evident. Our route takes us through predominantly Serb regions of Bosnia, with our first stop in Banja Luka. You'll have time to explore this city, the capital of the autonomous entity of Republika Srpska and the second largest in Bosnia after Sarajevo, known for its historic fortress and Orthodox cathedral. There will also be a lunch break. Next, we head to Jajce, considered one of Bosnia's most picturesque towns, famous for its cultural diversity, mosque, fortress, and stunning waterfall (admission included). After some time to explore Jajce, we continue to Sarajevo, arriving by evening. You'll have the chance to walk through the historic center and visit the charming Bazaar, an old Ottoman market famous for its unique architecture, oriental atmosphere, and traditional shops. Dinner will be included.
Overnight in Sarajevo
In the morning, you will embark on a sightseeing tour with a local guide in Sarajevo, a fascinating city known as the "Jerusalem of Europe" due to the coexistence of several religions. Mosques, churches and synagogues reflect the religious diversity of the area. You will observe the significant Ottoman influence in its old town, with its grand mosque of over 500 years old and its beautiful fountain. After the visit, you will continue your journey through an area of pure beauty, Mostar, with its wonderful historic center and its stone bridge that separates the Orthodox, Muslim and Catholic communities. There will be time for lunch and a stroll through the city. You will then proceed to Croatia, where border procedures may be lengthy. Finally, you will arrive in Dubrovnik at the end of the day.
Overnight in Dubrovnik
In the morning, we’ll go on a panoramic tour of Dubrovnik with a local guide, one of the wonderful highlights of our Croatia tour packages. Widely regarded as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, Dubrovnik is perched on cliffs, surrounded by ancient walls, and embraced by the Adriatic Sea. Its perfectly preserved historic center is a true gem of world architectural heritage. We’ll stop at a scenic viewpoint along the road for breathtaking views of the city. The tour includes visits to the Franciscan Monastery, home to Europe’s oldest pharmacy, and the Assumption Cathedral. We will also take a short boat ride to Lokrum, a nearby island just 15 minutes away, famous for the ruins of an 11th-century Benedictine monastery and a popular filming location for the series Game of Thrones. After the tour, you’ll have some free time to explore the city at your own pace before we return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner is included.
Note: On some occasions, accommodations may be in Cavtat, a nearby coastal town. From November to March, the boat service to Lokrum is unavailable, so the island visit will not be included during these months.
Overnight in Dubrovnik
After breakfast, you set off in the morning, traveling along the Croatian coastline, which displays amazing seascapes and islands. En route, you will make a stop in Ston, a picturesque town that boasts one of the longest walls in the world. You continue amidst pleasant landscapes, where the great Peljeski Bridge crossing the sea stands out. You will arrive in Split in the afternoon. The tour includes a visit with a local guide and admission to Diocletian’s Palace. You will explore this immense palace from Roman times, its labyrinth of streets, and views over the sea. The evening will be free at leisure — but dinner will be included.
Overnight in Split
Today you will explore the interior region of Croatia, passing through the beautiful hilly landscapes until you arrive in Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your entry into the park will be included (with access to the lakes’ boats or trains), where you will see the gorgeous lakes and waterfalls. You will be able to trek along the trails and head on the boats that sail through the waters of the lake. After lunch, you will travel back to the coast towards Northern Croatia. Upon arrival in Opatija, you will be directed to your hotel. Dinner will be included in the hotel.
Overnight in Opatija
Note: In exceptional circumstances, either for weather-related reasons or due to a high density of tourists, it might not be possible or advisable to use the train or the boat in Plitvice.
In the morning after breakfast, you will pass the border as you travel towards Slovenia, and visit Postojna, one of the biggest cave sites in the world. After this, you will explore Bled, a gorgeous post¬card town situated on the shores of a lake. In the middle, there is an islet where the bell tower of a monastery stands out at the foot of a medieval castle. Head on a boat trip around Bled Lake and pay a visit to the monastery on the islet. Upon arrival in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city, you will head on a tour with a local guide through this beautiful Central European city. Dinner will be included in the evening.
Overnight in Ljubljana
Today after breakfast, you will travel to Maribor, the second most important city in Slovenia, highly influenced by Austrian culture. The beautiful cathedral and castle certainly stand out.
