This tour will start with a short stop to the Panathinaiko Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896. Continue your journey with a panoramic drive passing by the ex-Royal Palace, Zappion Hall, Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus, National Temple of Hadrian Arch, St. Paul’s Church, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann’s House, Catholic Cathedral, Academy, University, and National Library. From there we will make our way to the archaeological site of Acropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Monument, and visit Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens, and of course the Parthenon. Continue your tour with a short yet pleasant walk passing by the Herodian and Dionysus Theatre, to visit the Acropolis Museum. Main attractions such as the votines, artefacts from everyday life, statues from the archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, pediments, and the frieze will impress you.

After breakfast, spend your day at leisure before you are later transferred to the port of Athens for a 7-night cruise. Settle into your cabin and familiarize yourself with this cruise before setting sail at 01:00 PM this afternoon.

Today you’ll arrive in Kefalonia between 08:00 and 09:00 and set sail again between 16:00 and 17:00. Today you will arrive in Katakolon at 08:00 and depart by 14:00. Katakolon is your gateway to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Visit the Archaeological Site of Olympia, including the ancient stadium and the Temple of Zeus. The Archaeological Museum of Olympia houses significant artifacts like the Hermes of Praxiteles statue. Enjoy relaxing on Kourouta Beach or explore local vineyards and olive farms. Later you will depart and sail towards Athens.
