A Taste of Portugal Canada Special
Our Tour to Portugal with Indus Travels was very thoughtfully organized and planned. Cruising through Lisbon’s cute streets eating a hot Pastel de Nata in Belém it seemed like an ideal introduction to the country. High waves in Nazare and Gothic architecture of the Batalha Monastery, each stop was carefully chosen. We went to see the sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima. It was a stone built church which made this trip even more special and meaningful. My favorite Porto was so lively. With nice hotels, efficient transfers, and good guides to help us find our way amidst it all, this was a truly relaxing stress-free experience.

A Taste of Portugal Canada Special
Portugal surprised me with how effortlessly it blends coastal charm and deep history. Our week started in Lisbon’s cobbled streets and instantly captivating pastel de nata at the Belem district. Wandering through Jeronimos Monastery was an early delight. The boat ride to the fishing village of Nazare came next, looking out at huge Atlantic swells was humbling and thrilling. Moving inland to Obidos, I felt like I’d stepped into a medieval storybook. Through its narrow lanes and hilltop castle, we then found quieter moments at the Monastery of Batalha. My favorite was Porto. Rabelo boats floating on the Douro, port tastings at dusk, and the historic Ribeira district buzzing with life. The final stop in Coimbra showcased Portugal’s intellectual heritag, its centuries-old university left me in awe. Travel days were easygoing. Our guide was energetic yet relaxed, and the small group size meant I had meaningful conversations with fellow travelers. Best value I’ve encountered for European travel. highly recommend it.

The Taste of Portugal was an excellent tour that started in Lisbon, went as far north as Porto, and included Coimbra, Fatima, Aciero and Nazare. An excellent bus, driver, and tour guide made all of this possible. There were many personal touches of the tour director that added to the experience. In Fatima, we saw the workshops where religious articles are made. Hotels were very good, modern, and great buffet breakfasts each morning.
