On this 12-day trip to South, India's journey begins in Mamallapuram, known for its great monuments & cave sanctuaries on the beach. The next stop is the city of Pondicherry, a French colonial settlement that has preserved its French legacy in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets and Catholic churches. Then travel to Tanjore and discover its stunning temples like Brihadeeswara Temple. Moving forward embark on a temple tour of Madurai including the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple. Leaving the plains behind, the tour then heads into the mountains to the Wildlife Sanctuary of Thekkady. After exploring this jungle area, you will travel down through tea and spices plantations to Kumarakom where you will board a boat to explore the stunning Kerala backwaters. In the end, visit the picturesque Cochin, one of the finest natural harbors of the world before traveling back home.
