After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your short flight to Cusco. Prepare for a spectacular flight over the snowcapped Andes as you travel to Cusco, the oldest inhabited city in the hemisphere, with an elevation of 11,440 feet. Upon arrival, you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, your exclusive city tour will start with a visit to the San Cristobal Plaza, where you may enjoy panoramic views of the city. From there, visit the San Pedro Market to soak in the local flavors and learn about the products grown in the area which supply the city. After this, the Korikancha Temple will welcome you with its magnificence. This temple, whose Quechua name means “Gold Enclosure”, still bedazzles with its gold-covered walls. From there you may visit the Santo Domingo Church. Walk from San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, to Hatun Rumiyoc Street. Enjoy a stop at the Inca Roca Palace, which is now home to the Archbishop’s Palace and the famous Twelve Angle Stone. Continue your walk to the Main Square to visit the Cathedral and its beautiful and valuable colonial masterpieces.

In the morning you will be transferred to the Ollantaytambo Train Station, where you will depart by train to discover one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station where you will be assisted to board the bus and travel up the winding road to Machu Picchu and enjoy a magnificent view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish you with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps, and urban areas. Experience the intoxicating energy all around you. After a guided tour, you will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. At the arranged time, take the train back to Ollantaytambo, and then transfer to your hotel in Cusco by car.

Situated in Pachar, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Via Ferrata is a new choice for adventure lovers. It was designed for an adrenaline-charged experience amidst breathtaking views and with safety measures needed for those with no climbing experience. Climb 300 meters using iron ladders and knowing you are 100% safe. Enjoy the breathtaking views, and then descend a 100-meter cliff fixed to a rope. This will be a truly unforgettable experience for adventure lovers. In the afternoon, you will go on the Sacred Valley Zipline, where visitors of all ages will get the opportunity to fly over this magical and magnificent valley in a fun and safe manner. The zipline consists of 6 lines or cables, stretching from 100m to 500m, for a total of 2000m. The guide will hook you to the cables using a pulley connected to the harness. The cables are so tight there is no need for a brake system since the speed decreases upon approaching the end. To get to the first line, a 35-minute hike will be required. This entire hike is equipped with Via Ferrata (iron ladders) to ensure maximum security and confidence for all adventure lovers. No experience will be required.
Optional: Half Day Biking- Best Down Hill in Cusco : USD 77, min 4 paxThis activity will take you to the highlands of Cusco. You will be picked up from your hotel and travel to the upper area of the city. Prepare to see the truly breathtaking scenery surrounding the city of Cusco. You will test your bike and receive a safety briefing and instructions. Based on your experience level, you will choose between going down a paved runway or descending onto roads and single-track roads. These declines can be prepared according to the skills and experience of the traveler. At the end of your adventure, you will return to the Cusco City Center.

Optional: Full Day Chacan Rainbow Temple & Cusilluchayoc Hike: USD 215, min 4 paxThis hike offers a breathtaking view of Cusco city and its countryside along with high Andean landscapes. You will be picked up from the hotel and drive for 15 minutes through the paved road up near Sacsayhuaman, where you may admire the gorgeous scenery of Cusco City (entrance fee will not be included). En route, you will see the peasants’ houses, fields with various types of crops (such as potatoes, corn, and barley), and see llamas traveling to Cusco from the Andean villages. These llamas will be accompanied by their owners, all of them perfectly dressed for photos with tourists in Cusco City. Upon arrival, you will leave the bus and start your hike to the Temple of the Rainbow. There, you will see the magnificent rainbow, made by a small waterfall under the sunlight. After spending some time admiring the breathtaking views you will cross a cave, following the stream, and then go back to hiking to Cusilluchayoc Temple for about two hours where you will have an hour for lunch. After lunch, you will explore this Inca temple and caves. Then you will cross the last agriculture field and continue your hike down to Cusco and visit the old part of the city such as the San Cristobal and San Blas neighborhoods. Box lunch is inlcuded.
Optional: Half Day Stand Up Paddler at Piuray Lake: USD 245, min 4 paxThe tour will start early in the morning and take you to The Sacred Valley. After an hour’s drive, you will arrive in Chincheros, home to Piuray Lake. This breathtaking lake offers spectacular scenery, perfectly flat water, and plenty of birds. Your base is the home of a local family that lives at the shore of the lake. They will greet you with a smile and share a little about their lifestyle and culture. Start the activity with a safety briefing and paddle technique on land. Once you are in the water, the idea will be to first get acquainted with the board, paddling techniques, and making turns. Upon return, the family in Piuray will welcome you with hot infusions to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Today you will be transferred to the bus station for your tour bus adventure to Puno. On the way, stop to visit the magnificent attractions this breathtaking route has to offer. The first stop will be in Andahuaylillas, where you will see the magnificent chapel. From there you will discover Racchi, the Temple of the Wiracocha God, where the walls and narrow streets stand out. Enjoy lunch and take the opportunity to admire the view at “La Raya”, a natural border between Cusco and Puno. Before you arrive at your final destination, you will visit the in-site Pucara Museum. Here, you will have the opportunity to get one of the local classic bull-shaped ceramics. Arrive in Puno at the end of the afternoon, where you will be transferred to your hotel.

Embark on a morning trip to the “People of The Lake”: the Uros. There are approximately 40 scattered islands built with totora reeds (an aquatic plant), comprising a significant archipelago inhabited by 10 to 20 families. At 3,810 MASL, you will visit two islands of the Uros to appreciate the unique beauty of the place and experience the culture and lifestyle of the locals of millenary origin. Even today they continue with their ancestral traditions, with a large Aymara influence — all linked to the totora reed. The subsistence of the Uros is based on fishing, hunting, and gathering eggs, complementing their economy with the sale of handicrafts. Spend the afternoon at leisure or choose one of the following optional activities.

Optional: Full Day Taquile Island Tour: USD 119, min 4 paxGet ready to explore Lake Titicaca. Travel to Taquile where a native community of approximately 400 families live with the traditions and high principles of the Incas. Taquile is a very important site on Lake Titicaca which is known for its archeological remains, sacred and ceremonial sites, festive activities, and cherished rituals. Taquile is characterized by its friendly inhabitants, who retain their customs and traditional clothing. They distinguish themselves by their detailed, fine, and colorful textiles with symmetrical decorations and symbols that reflect their way of life and Andean beliefs. A typical lunch will be served during your visit to the island. We will return to the city in the afternoon. Please note: This tour will continue after visiting the Uros islands and requires booking in advance. Passengers taking this optional tour will visit the Uros separately from the main group (you will depart earlier to have enough time to visit all the islands).
Optional: Evening Sillustani Pre-Inca Tombs on a Private basis: USD 50, min 2 paxVisit the pre-Inca cemetery of the Hatun Colla chiefs in Sillustani, on the shore of Lake Umayo. This is a wonderful trip to see the funerary towers or Chullpas reaching up to six meters in height.
In the morning, you will be transferred to the Juliaca Airport for your flight back to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, head on a tour through Lima’s streets and plazas. Start the tour from the Love Park in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and head to the Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial center of culture in Lima. From there, you will visit the Main Square where the Government Palace and Town Hall are located. Discover the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which the corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in the 17th century, and where their remains rest today. Spend the evening at leisure to explore the city at your own pace.

How do I create an Indus Account?
Go to our website and click on the register button found on the upper right hand side to create your Indus Travel account and start booking tours!
If I don't remember my password, how do I log in?
Click the Forgot Password? link in the login form and it will lead you to a form to change your password. Simply enter your registered email address and you will be emailed a link to reset your password.
How do I view my invoice?
You will not be able to access your invoice immediately upon booking. You will be notified by email when it is available for you, normally within 48 business hours of booking. You can find your invoice and all other details of the tours you booked by logging on to your account and going to the Tour Booking History page.
How do I make payment online?
Simply login to your Indus Travel account, go to your tour of choice and click on Book Now. You will then confirm the details and your preferences about the tour and finally pay through our secure online payment platform.
What forms of payment does Indus Travel accept?
We accept US & CA Dollar check, bank check, money order, direct deposits, wire transfer, Visa, and Master credit cards. Third-party credit cards are not acceptable. Payments made by wire transfer must include an additional $30 wire transfer fee. There is a $50 fee for returned checks.

When is my final payment due?
Your exact final payment date is indicated on your invoice which may be viewed by signing into your account. In general, the final payment is due 90 days prior to departure with some exceptions where payment is due earlier (All tours including cruise final payment is due 120 days before departure).
How much is my final payment?
The amount of your final payment will be noted on your invoice and can be accessed by logging into your account online.
Can I send a bank cheque or money order?

Can I get paper documents?
Paper documents may be sent upon passenger request. There is a shipping and handling fee of $30 for each set of paper documents: These paper documents will be delivered between 14-21 business days prior to the beginning of your tour. In some instances, a paper voucher/ticket is required by our vendor. In these instances, the costs for shipping and handling will be shouldered by Indus Travels.

Do I receive anything else with my e-documents?
Indus e-document package includes all local contact details, daily itinerary, airline e-ticket information, service vouchers, and travel tips which should be everything you require to go on your trip.
How do I know where to find my airline ticket?
With a few exceptions, international airline tickets are issued electronically. The airline confirmation number and ticket numbers stated in your documents represent your airline "ticket(s)." Some domestic Arline tickets which can only be issued at destination will be given to you upon your arrival in the local destination.
If I need one, who is responsible to obtain my visa?
You are responsible for obtaining the proper travel documents for the destinations on your itinerary, including having a passport that is valid for at least 6 months before the date of departure and a visa if required. Please check the Visa section in the Know Before You Go document for the countries you will be visiting.
Please note: Passengers who are not U.S. or Canadian citizens must check with the respective consulate or a visa agency to determine what personal identification is required. Passengers who enter, leave and then re-enter the same country on their itinerary should check if they require a double-entry visa.

What are optional sightseeing tours?
Optional tours are offered to travelers interested in additional experiences, sightseeing, meals or activities to supplement the included components of our tours. You may choose to participate in some, all or none of the optional tours which are priced individually. When can I add optional tours?
Optional tours are available for purchase any time up to 45 days before departure.
Can I purchase optional tours locally?
Yes. When traveling on an escorted tour, optional tours may be purchased locally from the Tour Manager. However, Indus cannot guarantee the rate and availability of these services when purchased locally. Please note that tours purchased locally are subject to current exchange rates and may cost up to 10% more.
Can I add optional tours for only select individuals on my reservation?

When can I purchase Travel Insurance?
American Residents can purchase Trawick Insurance with us at the time of booking or anytime prior to departure. After booking, Canadian Residents will receive an email with a referral to TuGo Insurance which can be purchased anytime prior to departure.
When is Travel Insurance active?
Travel Protection coverages will take effect on the later of 1) the date the plan payment has been received by the Policyholder; 2) the date and time you start your Covered Trip; or 3) 12:01 A.M. Standard Time on the Scheduled Departure Date of your Covered Trip.
I need to cancel my trip and have not purchased insurance, what do I do?
Penalties for cancellation will depend on the tour you have purchased and how close to departure you are at the time of cancellation. For more information, visit our terms and conditions.
Why is it important that I give my name as it appears on my passport when booking a tour?
Due to increased travel security and policies around the world, it is now a requirement that your airline ticket matches your first and last name exactly as it reads on your passport. Please note that any changes to the details of your air booking, could be subject to a change fee, penalties or cancellation.
Can I reserve a seat assignment?
For our packages that include flights, we do not usually assign seats. In most cases, you can request specific seats, but this may incur a small fee payable to the airline. For more information, contact our sales and reservations staff.
Once confirmed, are airlines seats always guaranteed?
In most cases, seat assignments are firm. However, airlines may sometimes reassign seats for operational reasons. This often happens at the last moment and is controlled by airline staff, with Indus Travel not being notified. Passengers are encouraged to reconfirm their seat assignments and any other special requests directly with their airline prior to departure.
Should I check-in online?
It always recommended and more convenient to check in online. It will shorten your waiting time at the airport, secure your seat assignments and other reservations.
Can I request a special meal on the flight?
Requests may be made for special meals. These requests will be sent on your behalf to the airline so long as Indus receives these request prior to your documents being issued. The availability of special meals will be based upon the specific airlines and will be at their discretion.
Can I use my frequent flier miles?
Accrued frequent flier miles cannot be used toward the purchase of Indus Travels’ airfare or used for class upgrades. However, airfare purchased through Indus Travels may qualify to earn you additional miles.
What is required when I check-in?
Ticketed passengers must show correct identification at check-in. Children must have a parent present at check-in and all tickets must be in each passenger's name.
What is required with International travel?
An international trip may require valid travel documents such as passport, visa, re-entry permit, health certificate, inoculation record, a ticket for the return journey or continuance of your trip, or ANY combination thereof. Passengers are responsible for the proper documentation. Concerns about the required travel documents may be resolved by contacting the appropriate consulate or embassy.
