Embark on a full-day excursion to Alexandria, known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean. Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC, Alexandria has become a place of learning and attracted poets and writers for thousands of years to its famous seaside library the “Bibliotheca Alexandrina”. Alexandria is also home to the Pharos Lighthouse; one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Largely because of its unique cosmopolitan roots, Alexandria differs widely from the rest of the country — especially Cairo. Explore the Alexandria National Museum comprised of over 1800 archaeological pieces narrating the Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Coptic, Islamic, and modern history of Egypt. One display features a piece picked up from the seabed at Abu Kir Bay and the eastern harbor near the Qaitbay Citadel. The Alexandria Museum is number 27 in the series of historic and archaeological museums across Egypt. You will enjoy a panoramic view of Fort Qaitbay, built in the 1480s by Sultan Qaitbey, at the site of Alexandria's ancient lighthouse. Remnants of the lighthouse can be seen in the construction of the old fort. One of the seven Wonders of The Ancient World, the lighthouse was an astonishing 125 meters high, containing some 300 rooms for workers. From there you will visit the new Alexandria Library, built-in 2002 to commemorate the great library of the 3rd Century BC which formed the cornerstone of ancient intellectual life. Shaped like a massive, partly hidden, tilted disc rising from the Mediterranean, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina evokes the image of a rising sun, a source of light and enlightenment. Aside from a library displaying books on 7 levels that form a “pyramid of knowledge,” the cultural complex also offers other specialized libraries, museums, exhibition areas, education centers, and an international conference center. Later, visit the El Montazah Gardens: a 114-acre complex that belonged to the family of Mohamed Ali, who ruled Egypt from the mid-19th century until 1952. It is surrounded by great walls from the south, east, and west, a beach to the north. The complex is adorned with beautiful gardens and palm trees, making it an ideal stop in Alexandria. Construction began in 1892 by King Abbas II, who built a large palace inside the complex called the Salamlek. In 1932, King Fuad built a larger palace and named it the Haramlik. His son, King Farouk, built a bridge to the sea to act as a waterfront. The rest of the 115 acres consists of beautiful gardens, with palm trees and gazelles covering the area. This is a wonderful spot to bask in the beauty of Alexandria. Early this evening you will return to Cairo.

In the afternoon, you can experience the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. The Egyptian Museum boasts 107 halls filled with approximately 160,000 objects covering 5,000 years of Egypt’s past. It features artifacts from the Pharaonic and Graeco-Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt’s king and Tut Ankh Amun treasures.

The Citadel, perched on the Mokattam Hills of Old Cairo, served as Egypt's center of power for nearly 700 years. Built starting in 1176 and completed by Muhammad Ali Pasha in the 19th century, it housed Mamluk sultans and Turkish governors. Inside the Citadel is the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, built by Muhammad Ali Pasha on the site of Mamluk palaces. Its twin minarets, the tallest in Egypt at 84 meters, dominate the skyline. The tour also includes Khan El Khalili, a historic bazaar built in 1382, which remains a vibrant hub for trade, antiques, and local culture.

Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of the cosmopolitan city of Dubai this morning. Even with all of its modern buildings, Dubai has managed to maintain its old-world charm with monuments like the Jumeirah Mosque. Explore the oldest part of the city, Bastakiya, and admire the serenity of the old wind-tower houses that were built by wealthy merchants at the beginning of the 20th century. Al Fahidi Fort, which is almost 200 years old, houses the Dubai Museum. You’ll also wander through the vibrant textile market to the 'abra' station before crossing the creek in a water taxi. On the other side of the creek you’ll proceed through busy alleyways where the aromas of the Spice Souk hang in the air before visiting the city’s famous Gold Souk. Late this afternoon you will be picked up and go on a dune drive at the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. The mysterious desert beckons you for a magical evening out – an adventure you’ll never forget. Leaving behind the bustle of the city your safari guide will transport you for a thrilling journey over rolling dunes deep into the heart of the desert. From the crest of a high dune, watch the sun cast its orange glow over the vast expanse of rippling sand all round you as it sets. Like a shimmering mirage in the distance, you will see the flickering lights of your camp where a traditional Arabian welcome awaits you. The encampment conjures up images of the Arabian nights. Great White Sharks… imposing in size, their graceful beauty has perfectly adapted to their environment. Their powerful predatory behavior and the mysteries surrounding this spectacular creature will beckon you to come closer and closer. Experience the White Shark in its natural environment above or underwater. And for the less courageous, this boat offers a large viewing platform on top and great space on the main deck for seating and viewing. After a full security briefing, you will make your way to the boat waiting to take you out to the world-famous Shark Alley, off the coast of Gansbaai. Upon anchoring at Shark Alley, you will get the chance to observe all of its inhabitants, from its seals and various birdlife to Southern Right Whales visiting the waters in season (July to November), and of course the Great White Shark. A wetsuit and a diving mask will be provided so you can share the waters with the awesome creatures from the safety of a cage, which is attached to the boat and floats right next to it. The time you spend in the cage will be between 10 to 30 minutes as it depends on the weather and the number of spotted sharks. No diving experience is required for this tour.

On this full-day tour, you will be able to explore the dramatic coastline of the Cape Peninsula, including a visit to Boulders Beach penguin colony and Cape Point Nature Reserve (entrance fees not included).

Today, you’ll be transferred back to Singapore International Airport for your flight to India. Begin your India trip with your arrival in New Delhi, you’ll be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The capital of India is a bustling metropolis that beautifully blends the ancient with the modern. The city can broadly be divided into two parts: Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Delhi’s Muslim rulers, notably the Mughals, between the 17th and 19th centuries. New Delhi, on the other hand, is referred to as the Imperial City, dating back to when the British decided to move their capital from Calcutta to Delhi in 1911.

Start your day with a visit to Old Delhi. Begin at Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, before revelling in an exhilarating rickshaw ride through the by-lanes of Chandni Chowk (Silver Street). Walk through the old dusty alleyways and other interesting sights! Drive past the mighty and sprawling Red Fort, which was built in 1648 and stands along the river Yamuna. Continue to New Delhi to see the colonial architecture that defined the British era in India. See the India Gate (the War Memorial) and the Presidents House (from the outside). Later visit a famous Sikh Temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Sikhism is a progressive religion (and in many respects, ahead of its time). At Bangla Sahib, you will see how this religion blends practices from Hinduism and Islam into something new. You can watch (and join if you like) the langar, the voluntary group cooking and feeding program at the Gurudwara. Later travel to Qutab Minar complex - the tallest tower in world for centuries, erected by first Islamic rulers of India and still the most imposing, artistically carved and engraved sandstone pillar anywhere!

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before heading towards the railway station to catch your train from Delhi to Agra. Taking a train in India is an experience you won't want to miss - the rail network is one of the largest in the world and offers an up-close view of the country's beauty. Once you arrive in Agra, you'll head straight to a guided tour of the city. Agra is a prime tourist destination in India because of its incredible historical sights, with the Taj Mahal being the most famous of them all. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 15th century as a memorial to his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj Mahal is an architectural masterpiece of exquisite craftsmanship and perfect proportions. It's often considered the pinnacle of Mughal art in India, and when UNESCO declared it a world heritage site, they described it as "the jewel of Muslim art in India". You'll have the opportunity to visit the Taj Mahal and see for yourself the magnificence of this monument. Words can hardly do it justice - it's truly a must-see for any visitor to the city. Later, you'll be taken back to the Agra railway station to catch your train back to Delhi.

Swaminarayan Akshardham epitomizes 10,000 years of Indian culture in all of its breathtaking beauty. The Akshardham experience is an enlightening journey through India’s glorious art, values, and contributions for the harmony of mankind. The ancient-styled Akshardham complex was built in only five years through the blessings of HDH Pramukh Swami Maharaj of the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), and the devotional efforts of 11,000 artisans and BAPS volunteers. The complex was inaugurated on 6 November 2005.

Built in the shape of a lotus flower, the Lotus Temple is the last of seven major Bahai's temples built around the world. Completed in 1986, this pure white marble structure is set among lush, landscaped gardens. Please note that the temple is closed on Mondays. You’ll then visit The Humayun’s Tomb, one of the best-preserved Mughal monuments. Construction was completed in 1572, and this spellbinding mausoleum is the first example of Mughal architecture in India. A century after its construction, Humayun’s Tomb inspired the design of the Taj Mahal.

Welcome to China! Upon arrival in Beijing, be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in and refreshment. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own pace.

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll meet your guide and drive to Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square. The UNESCO Site of the Forbidden City is the imperial place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties ruled for nearly 500 years (1420-1911). Experience the architectural splendor of the palaces, ceremonial courtyards and private quarters. The Summer Palace has the largest imperial garden in the world, where the emperors of successive dynasties created summer retreats around the tranquil waters of Kunming Lake.

Overnight in Beijing

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll visit the Great Wall of China, one of the world’s greatest engineering triumphs. The Great Wall undulates majestically over the peaks and hills of the Beijing municipality, inspiring everyone who sees it with awe. Today you’ll also see the famous ‘Bird’s Nest’ Olympic Stadium and the National Swimming Centre, which is also known as the ‘Water Cube’.

Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner followed by the Legend of Kung Fu show, a special Shaolin Kung Fu stage performance that blends music, martial arts, and a moving story- the pick-up time will depend on the tour on that day.
