Mexico's Growth as a Tourist Destination

Mexico has long been a popular tourist destination, attracting visitors with its sunny beaches, lively culture, and rich history.

In recent years, Mexico has seen a surge in tourism, thanks to a growing number of international flights and improved infrastructure.

According to the World Tourism Organization, Mexico was the sixth most-visited country in 2018, welcoming more than 41 million international tourists.

This represents a significant increase from previous years, and it shows that Mexico is becoming an increasingly popular destination.

There are many reasons for Mexico's growing popularity, but some of the most notable include the country's diverse landscape, vibrant cities, and warm climate.

Whether you're looking for an action-packed vacation or a relaxing getaway, Mexico has something to offer everyone. With so much to see and do, it's no wonder that Mexico is one of the world's most popular tourist destinations.

What Are the Best Destinations in Mexico?

Mexico is a land of contrasts, with a vibrant culture, stunning scenery, and warm, hospitable people. From the bustling streets of Mexico City to the sun-drenched beaches of the Riviera Maya, there is something for everyone in this diverse country. And when it comes to choosing the perfect vacation spot, Mexico has no shortage of options. Here are just a few of the best destinations for Mexico tours:

Playa del Carmen: This popular resort town is situated on the beautiful Riviera Maya, with white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and Mayan and Aztec ruins nearby. Playa del Carmen is also home to a lively nightlife scene and a wide range of hotels and restaurants.

Cancun: Situated on the northeastern coast of Mexico, Cancun is a world-famous beach destination known for its clear turquoise waters and soft white sand beaches. In addition to its many waterfront activities, Cancun also offers a variety of shopping, dining, and nightlife options.

Cozumel: Cozumel is a small island off the coast of Playa del Carmen that is renowned for its scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities. The island's clear waters are teeming with marine life, making it a popular destination for underwater enthusiasts worldwide.

Tulum: Tulum is another popular spot on the Riviera Maya, known for its well-preserved Mayan ruins and stunning beaches. Visitors to Tulum can explore the ancient ruins, relax on the Tulum beach, or take a dip in one of the many cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula (natural freshwater pools).

Puerto Vallarta: Puerto Vallarta is a resort town located on Mexico's Pacific Coast. With its sandy beaches, lush jungle setting, and vibrant nightlife, Puerto Vallarta is a popular destination for travelers from all over the world.

San Miguel de Allende: San Miguel de Allende is a colonial-style city located in central Mexico. The city's well-preserved Spanish architecture, cobblestone streets, and picturesque setting make it a popular destination for tourists looking to experience a taste of old Mexico.

There are many other great destinations in Mexico, but these are just a few of the most popular. No matter what your interests are, you're sure to find the perfect spot for your next vacation in Mexico.

Mexican Tourist Attraction Recommendations for Families With Kids

Mexico is rich in history and culture, and plenty of tourist attractions can appeal to families with kids in this Latin American region.

One such attraction is the National Museum of Anthropology, which offers a chance to learn about Mexico's indigenous cultures.

The museum is home to an impressive collection of artifacts, and the grounds also feature several Aztec ruins. Another option for families is Xochimilco, often referred to as the 'Venice of Mexico.'

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its network of canals, which are perfect for taking a leisurely boat ride.

There are also plenty of opportunities to buy traditional Mexican handicrafts and snacks. Of course, no trip to Mexico would be complete without spending some time at one of the country's many beautiful beaches.

With its warm climate and clear waters, Mexico is a great destination for a family beach vacation. Indus Travel offers several Mexico tour packages you can choose from that will fit your family's needs and interests.

What Is the Best Time for a Group Tour to Mexico

Mexico is a popular destination for group tours, and there are a number of factors to consider when planning a trip. The best time to visit Mexico depends on the climate, the tourist season, and the availability of hotel rooms and other amenities. For example, the peak season in Mexico is typically from November to April, when the weather is cooler and drier. However, this is also the busiest time of year, so accommodation and travel costs may be higher. Hotel rooms may also be in high demand, making it difficult to find availability. For these reasons, planning a group tour to Mexico during the shoulder season or off-season may be better. These months typically offer better value for money and milder temperatures, making them ideal for exploring Mexico's many attractions.

How Many Days Are Enough for a Tour of Mexico

Mexico is a vast and varied country, with something to offer everyone.

Whether you're interested in exploring ancient ruins, soaking up the sun on the beach, or sampling delicious Mexican cuisine, you'll find plenty to keep you occupied on a Mexico tour.

So how many days should you spend on a Mexico tour? While it's possible to see some of the highlights in a week or less, we recommend taking at least 10 days to truly experience all that the country has to offer. This will give you enough time to visit a variety of different regions, without feeling rushed. Plus, it's always nice to have a few extra days in case you want to extend your stay at any of the places you visit. So if you're looking for the perfect Mexico vacation, be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to explore.

Excellent tour of Mexico. Indus and their local reps were superb. Although very busy daily schedule with long adventurous days that include lots of walking to see the ancient ruins. Hotels, food and tour guide were excellent.
