Your journey will begin in St. Petersburg, a breathtaking city crossed by the Neva River, where you will see powerful palaces, exquisite art galleries, and an abundance of architectural landmarks. From there you will take the high-speed train to Moscow, the legendary capital of Russia and the country’s political center, known for its historic museums, ancient architecture, and extravagant nightlife. Explore Red Square, one of the most famous landmarks in Russia, where military parades took place in the 20th century. You will also visit St Basil’s Cathedral, where you will see a captivating display of colors. From there you will travel to Vladimir, an ancient city home to the Golden Gate, before you visit the Kremlin in Gorokhovets, known for its magnificent vistas. Your next stop will be in Nizhny Novgorod, which once served as one of the most significant military sites in Russia, to learn about the victims of WWII and get a taste of life in the Soviet times. Take a cable car over the Volga River to Makaryev, known for its 15th-century walled monastery, before you travel to Cheboksary, where you will learn about Chuvashian culture. Visit Yoshkar-Ola, known for its colorful cityscape and beautiful urban center, and bask in the beauty of Sviyazhsk, a UNESCO island town on the Volga River. Explore Kazan, “Russia’s Third Capital” situated in the heart of Tatarstan, where you will see the House of Lenin along with the football stadium where the World Cup was hosted in 2018, before your tour of Russia comes to an end!
