This 11-day tour is a perfect way of unraveling the cultural complexities and marveling at the staggering natural beauty of Vietnam and Laos Riding past some of the best world heritage sites, through valleys, mountain tops, and River Banks, giving you numerous opportunities to trek with close encounters with various hill tribes, experiencing their lifestyle and enjoying splendid seascapes while cruising on Serene Bays. Start your trip from Hanoi with a visit to Ethnology Museum, then cycle through the original streets of the city’s Old Quarter and enjoy a unique show of Water Puppetry, a traditional stage art of Northern Vietnam. The next step is cruising aboard in a traditional junk across the Halong bay and enjoying its splendid seascape. Then an overnight train brings you to Sapa, where the adventure begins. Climb up to the Dragon Peak to be rewarded with a panoramic view of Sapa with pine trees and old colonial-style villas, Hike to tribal villages in Muong Hoa valley and ride across Hoang Lien Son, the highest mountain range of Vietnam crossing over to Laos. Marvel at the rugged mountain scenery of Oudomxay as you drive to Luang Prabang which is also your last destination for this trip. Here, visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace displaying a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture, Enjoy elephant ride along Namkong river bank and swim in cool waters of Khouang Si waterfalls. On your last day visit the magnificent Wat Xiengthong a perfect example of classical Laotian architecture before boarding a cruise upstream on the Mekong River and visiting the mysterious Pak Ou Caves among others.
