Your journey begins in Paris where you will have a few days to explore major attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris. You will have the chance to visit the marvelous and world-famous Versailles Palace to admire its luxury and stroll through its gardens. As you leave the capital city, you head towards the Normandy Region. There is great significance in this area as you discover Giverny, Rouen, and Caen. From the invasion of England in 1066 to the D-Day landings of 1944, Normandy has long played an outstanding role in European history. This rich and often brutal past is brought vividly to life by the spectacular and iconic island monastery of Mont St-Michel, which seems to rise dramatically from the sea. Discover quaint villages such as Saint-Malo and Rennes where you will have the opportunity to taste delicacies from this area of France, primarily based on delicious seafood. Enjoy your time in cities along rivers, such as Anger, Tours, and enjoy the panoramic views they offer. Continue your journey and visit the city of Limoges, which thrives as the top producer of porcelain in France. Afterwards, you will see one of the most interesting geological formations in Europe through the cave of Padirac and be in awe of nature’s potentials. As your trip nears an end you will travel to Saint-Emilion for a cellar visit and Bordeaux wine tasting from the best red wine area in France. You will stay in the city of Bordeaux for one night before taking the high-speed train back to Paris where your tour concludes.
