Allow the beautiful Danube River to carry you away on this wonderful 12-day journey, starting in Vienna the capital city of Austria. You will be able to see the imperial architecture and roam the local coffee shops before you sail towards Bratislava. Perhaps you can take a leisurely stroll through the historic city center and old city walls. Continue to Budapest, a magical city that uniquely straddles the Danube. A large portion of this city is a World Heritage Site, including the banks of the Danube, Andrassy Avenue, the Buda Castle quarter, and Heroes’ Square. Then you will reach Vukovar, a city with a long cultural history. Next, visit Novi Sad in Serbia where locals occupy the pretty parks and outdoor cafes and the laneway bars at night. Continue to Belgrade, also known as the ‘white city’ located where the Sava and Danube Rivers meet. Enjoy scenic cruising as you pass the Iron Gates towards Vidin, Bulgaria with its spectacular riverside views. The Baba Vida Fortress is one of the best-preserved in the country. Lastly, your cruise will come to an end in Bucharest, Romania’s capital where you can explore museums, relax at cafes or stroll the public gardens.
