Book Now!This is a 09-day self-guided circular cycling tour from Klaipeda offers you a great deal to explore the Baltic Sea coast visiting Palanga Resort and the Curonian Spit National Park, a World Heritage Site, explored individually by bicycle on very scenic cycling routes and experiencing traditional Lithuanian country life when cycling in the Nemunas River Delta region. The tour begins & ends in the historic coastal town of Klaipeda which boasts a rich, turbulent history from 13thC. On your circular rside from Klaipeda, you will pass Plaze Lake and the Dutchman's Cap – a coastal cliff and have many opportunities to detour to the seashore and also visit the Botanic Park and the remarkable Amber Museum housed in a former palace. Later, in your journey start your cycling ride from Veivirzenai and go on picturesque countryside roads through Pamarys meadows to Silute, en route stop in Sveksna village to explore the estate with its beautiful park and impressive neo-gothic church of St.Jacob the Apostle. Then in the Nemunas River Delta Regional Park, visit the Rusne village which is full of rural charm and its museum houses a traditional fisherman's smallholding. Then cycle to Vente Cape with a bird ringing station and ornithological museum before you cross the lagoon by ferry to arrive in Nida, the largest settlement on the Curonian Spit. At the end of your tour stop at golden sandy beaches and go swimming in the Baltic Sea on your way back to Klaipeda for your return flight.
