Start walking along the rural roads through the beautiful oak groves and peaceful hamlets such as Lavandeira and Ferreiros. Cross the bridge of the River Mino which is Galicia’s longest river and see the remains of the old town of Portomarin. Next, set off to Castromaior and stop by to visit the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria. Then move towards Sierra de Ligonde followed by gradually descending through the hamlets of Eirexe and Ligonde. Then make your way to the town of Palas De Rei. Then track along several streams and forest to visit the village of Boente and the church of Santiago, before reaching Arzua. After, your way will pass through the shrines such as the one to 18th century chapel of Santa Irene before reaching hamlet of Rua. Now you will be stepping towards Lavacolla which is a compulsary stop for pilgrimage as a purification ritual before entering the holy city of Compostela, you will get the first glimpse of Cathedral after climbing Monte do Gozo. After a small walk while singing Te Deum, you will fulfill your long-lasting desire of seeing the Apostle's tomb and recite your prayers in the holy Cathedral of Compostela. Then having filled with spirituality, you will be transported back to your home.
