How Many Days is Enough for a Tour of India?

India is a vast country with a rich and varied history, culture, and landscape. As a result, it can be difficult to know how many days are enough to see everything on an India tour. Going by many India tour reviews, a minimum of 10 days is ideal to get a good overview of the country. This gives you enough time to explore some of India's most popular tourist destinations, without feeling rushed. Of course, the number of days you spend on your tour will also depend on your budget and vacation package. However, with some careful planning, it is possible to make the most of your time and see the country's highlights in just a few weeks. To begin, deciding what you want to see and do on your trip is important. Are you interested in seeing the Taj Mahal and other historical landmarks? Or are you more interested in experiencing the country's natural beauty, such as hidden beaches and mountain villages? Once you have a good idea of your interests, you can start to plan your route. Indus Travels offers different packages that will help fulfill your dream tour. India is a large country, so it is important to be realistic about how much ground you can cover in a limited amount of time. For example, if you only have two weeks for your trip, it is probably not realistic to try to see everything from Kashmir to Kerala. Instead, focus on one specific region, such as Rajasthan or Tamil Nadu. And if you have more time, you could even consider adding Nepal or Bhutan to your itinerary for a truly comprehensive tour. You may decide to tour the entire nation if you have the time. The important thing is to make the most of your vacation and see the things that interest you the most. When deciding on your route, keep in mind that some areas of the country, such as the Himalayan Foothills, can be difficult to reach and may require an extra day or two of travel. By narrowing your focus, you can make the most of your time and see the best that India has to offer.

How Much Does a Typical India Tour Cost?

India is a land of vast contrasts, and its tour prices reflect that diversity. From the luxury accommodations and private guides of Rajasthan to the budget-friendly backpacker hostels of Goa, there's something for every traveler's taste and budget in India. That said, most tours of India will fall somewhere in the middle range, costing between $50 to $150 per day. This price includes basic accommodations, transport, and some meals, but doesn't cover more expensive activities like safaris or temple visits. The final cost of your tour will depend on a number of factors, including the length of your trip, the season you travel, and the type of tour you choose. So whether you're looking to stay in a 5-star hotel or something more simple, there's an India tour out there that's perfect for you.

When is the Best Time for a Tour of India?

India is a large country with diverse climates, so the best time to visit depends on where you want to go. In general, the best time to visit India is in the winter, from December to early March. The whole country tends to get very hot from April onwards, and most regions experience the summer monsoon in at least June, July, August, and September. However, there are some exceptions. For example, the desert state of Rajasthan is lovely in the winter but can be uncomfortably hot in the summer. Also, places like New Delhi in NCR, Kullu, and Manali in Northern India are best visited between October and March. If you're planning a beach vacation, Goa's weather is pleasant year-round, although the monsoon season (June-September) can bring heavy rains. Whenever you choose to travel, remember that India is a huge country with a lot to see and do. So even if you can only go for a short time, you will surely have an unforgettable experience.

How Long is a Flight from the USA to India?

If you're thinking of taking a trip to India for a tour, you may be wondering how long it will take to get there. The total flight duration from the United States to India is 17 hours, 21 minutes. This assumes an average flight speed for a commercial airliner of 500 mph, which is equivalent to 805 km/h. However, this time can vary depending on factors such as wind speed and stopovers. If you're planning a trip, remember to add more time for the plane to taxi between the gate and the airport runway. This approximation is only for the actual flying time. You should also factor in airport wait times and possible equipment or weather delays. Traveling from the US to India is a long-haul flight, and the thought of being stuck on a plane for hours can be daunting. But with a little preparation, long-haul flights can be more comfortable and even enjoyable. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of the trip: Choose your seat wisely. If you have the opportunity to select your seat in advance, take some time to consider your options. If you're prone to motion sickness, choose a seat near the front of the plane. For more legroom, try an aisle seat. And if you want to avoid crying babies, select a seat as far away from the bassinet locations as possible. Stay hydrated. It's important to stay hydrated during any flight, but it's especially important on a long-haul flight. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol and caffeine, which can dehydrate you. Move around. It may not be possible to walk around during the actual flight, but stretching your legs and moving your arms periodically will help keep your blood flowing and prevent stiffness. Dress comfortably. You'll be more comfortable on a long-haul flight if you're wearing loose-fitting clothing that doesn't restrict your movement. Avoid wearing anything too tight or constricting, such as belts or high heels. Bring snacks. Travel can be unpredictable, so it's always a good idea to have some snacks on hand in case there's not enough food available on the plane or during your layover. Pack some healthy snacks that will give you sustained energy throughout the flight, such as nuts or granola bars. If you're traveling with young children, be sure to bring along some child-friendly snacks as well. With these tips in mind, you can make your flight more bearable and even enjoyable as you anticipate your India tour!

Helpful Tips for a Safe and Enjoyable India Tour

From the bustling streets of Mumbai to the serene beauty of the Taj Mahal, there is something for everyone to enjoy on an India tour. However, India can also be a daunting place for first-time visitors. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your trip: When traveling, always carry a copy of your passport and visa. Keep them safe and easily accessible in case you need to present them to authorities. Be aware of your surroundings and take precautions to avoid becoming a victim of crime. Avoid walking alone at night, carrying large amounts of cash, or leaving your belongings unguarded in public places. Dress conservatively and be respectful when visiting religious sites. This means covering your shoulders and knees and avoiding loud or disruptive behavior. India is a land of contrasts, so be prepared for anything! With these tips in mind, you’re sure to have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Picturesque Solo India and Nepal Tour
We had an amazing and memorable two-person trip through India and Nepal. We had an excellent guide and driver in India from Delhi to Udaipur stopping in five cities and visiting incredible sites. Then we flew to Katmandu, with the most knowledgeable city guide ever, followed by traveling to the Chitwan jungle with tours led by a local naturalist who knew every animal and flower. It was a very personal and well planned trip that I would highly recommend.

Great India
Without the dust in Rajastan India is indeed a great destination not only for Westerners but anyone interested in East Indian cultures and traditions. Food was good but a little too salty for my tastebuds. In southern India food not as salty but also very good. I plan at some later time to revisit India but be a little more prepared to deal with the dust and the northern weather in January.

1. The trip wasn't always well organized (especially if I compare this trip to other travel companies). 2. Only 2 couples (4 out of 9 participants) gave the amount which was asked by the tour guide for tips. It seems not fair to the 4 people who paid. The other group members refused to pay. The tour guide used this money to tip hotels, etc. In other organized trips we took, most tips were included. It seems like the tip part wasn't well organized.

I was impressed by the many different experiences we had. The only glitch occurred on the final day when we had to leave really early because 2 people had to get to the airport. I think it would have been better had they had alternative transport so that we would not have had to start so early. Also when we got to Delhi, our guide had to arrange an extra trip for us to fill in the time. Our flight did not go until early in the morning and we were not allowed into the departure area of the airport until three hours before the flight which meant we had a very uncomfortable stay in the arrivals area. That last day could certainly have been better organised. The bus ( air conditioned - thank goodness) on which we travelled was large enough for nearly everyone to have a window seat which was great! Water was readily available and our guide Mahipal was excellent. I would certainly recommend this tour.
